Many senior athletes here at Catalina Foothills High School are going to be committing and playing at the college level. Emily Parker is one of those senior athletes here at CFHS.
Parker has been playing for 12 years and has committed to the University of Oklahoma to play soccer.
She is currently playing on SC Del Sol ECNL (Elite Clubs National League). Her club is an elite competitive national league for youth female soccer players in the United States who claim that they provide the highest level of competition and the best developmental environment for American female youth soccer players, according to SC Del Sol.
Like all senior athletes, Parker had to go through the recruiting process. She said, “Recruiting was a bit stressful, but it was also really fun to go on recruiting trips.” When it came down to choosing a college, Parker said,“I looked at the atmosphere of the campus, the way the school looks was really important to me. The personality of the coach was something I took into consideration. I also asked current players their opinion. Ultimately the decision came down to what school I would rather go to if I wasn’t playing soccer.”
This season, Parker will playing for CFHS girls varsity soccer team and will be hoping to win state on her last year of high school soccer.
